The weather is very warm. The kids are out of school and we’re sending them to camp so that they can be happily occupied and we can happily work. What are we working on? Where to start..
We are busy on the craft show/farmers’ market junket. We’re meeting so many people who have so many good questions about our products and how we make them – process and ingredients. It’s been tremendous fun.
We are busy creating new products. Some are still in development (more tremendous fun!). Here’s a peak at a couple of just-released Hand Candies. It’s true that we love our Hand Candies.
Lavender Love Hand Candy
Everyone who tries it loves our Lavender Love Mask and Scrub. It leaves the skin soft and radiant and the smell is divine. Some have even requested the scent in a Hand Candy. (insert fanfare here) Ask and ye shall receive! Lavender Love Hand Candy Sugar Scrub is calming, clean and refreshing. We can’t get enough of this stuff. In this already hot, muggy summer (OMG, it’s really still just spring!) it’s been a relief!

Lavender Vanilla Hand Candy
Yes, we are seeing a pattern here. We are digging lavender. It’s floral, but also herby so it’s not too sweet. We did sweeten it up with a touch of vanilla, though, and the result is fantastic! It’s floral and herby and sweet and delightful. Perfect for summer. Makes me want to go on a picnic, but I’m not sure why.

We are busy trying to beat the heat. Summers, starting with mid-to-late spring, in Baltimore are hot and muggy. The air is thick. It all leaves a person drained, and frankly, feeling sticky and grimy. Blecht. Live Clear, a personal favorite of ours, gets a heavier rotation in the skin care regimen. Never go to bed with makeup on! This is not news to all you skin-care-savvy folks. After washing, give the Live Clear bottle a whirl to mix all those good ingredients, soak some onto a cotton puff and wipe away all the dirt and oil that your cleanser left behind. I’m not trying to say that you are using a sub-par cleanser! No!! I am saying that when the air is muggy and hot and dirty and smoggy your skin could use a little extra cleaning power, and the extra bonus is that Live Clear leaves your skin soft. Neither of us has ever used a more effective astringent than the one we make. That’s the truth!
While the kids are away, the moms will play. I mean work. I mean both. Back to it!
